GSRTC Driver Bharti 2026 Educational Qualification

Applicants must have:

• Passed Higher Secondary (Class 12) or equivalent qualification recognized by the Government.
• Candidates possessing equivalent qualifications mentioned in the official notification are also eligible.

Driving License Requirements

For Male Candidates

Applicants must possess:

• Valid Heavy Vehicle Driving License.
• Valid PSV (Public Service Vehicle) Badge.
• Heavy Vehicle License that is at least 4 years old.
• Minimum 4 years of Heavy Vehicle Driving Experience.

For Female Candidates

• Valid Heavy Vehicle Driving License.
• Valid PSV Badge.

Preference may be given to female candidates with Heavy Vehicle Driving Experience. Candidates without experience may be required to undergo training at the GSRTC Automatic Driving Test Center.

Height Requirement

Male Candidates

• Minimum Height: 162 cm
• ST Candidates: 160 cm

Female Candidates

• Minimum Height: 158 cm

Vision Requirement

Candidates must have:

• Clear eyesight.
• No color blindness.
• Physical fitness suitable for driving public transport vehicles.

GSRTC Driver Salary 2026

One of the biggest attractions of this recruitment is the salary package.

Fixed Pay

₹26,000 per month

Selected candidates will receive a fixed monthly salary of ₹26,000 during the first five years of service.

After successfully completing five years and fulfilling performance requirements, candidates may become eligible for appointment under the regular GSRTC pay structure as per prevailing rules.

GSRTC Driver Selection Process 2026

The recruitment process consists of two stages:

1. OMR-Based Written Examination

• Total Marks: 100
• Duration: 1 Hour
• Weightage: 40%

2. Driving Test

• Total Marks: 50
• Minimum Passing Marks: 35
• Weightage: 60%

Final Merit List

The final merit list will be prepared based on the combined weighted scores of:

GSRTC Driver Exam Pattern 2026

The written examination will consist of 100 marks.

Negative Marking

Candidates should note the following:

• 0.25 marks will be deducted for each incorrect answer.
• 0.25 marks will also be deducted for unanswered questions.
• If Option “E” is selected where applicable, no negative marking will be applied.

How to Apply Online for GSRTC Driver Bharti 2026?

Step 1: Visit the OJAS Portal

Visit the official OJAS website at ojas.gujarat.gov.in.

Step 2: Complete One Time Registration (OTR) (Optional)

Click on Registration > Apply and complete the registration process by entering your personal details. After successful registration, note down your OTR Number. Candidates who already have an OTR can skip this step.

Step 3: Find the Advertisement

Go to the Online Application section and click on Apply. Select GSRTC from the department list and find the GSRTC Conductor Recruitment 2026 advertisement. Click the Apply button.

Step 4: Log In with OTR

Enter your OTR Registration Number and Date of Birth to log in and proceed with the application.

Step 5: Fill Out the Application Form

Provide all required details related to the Conductor post, including:

• Class 12 qualification details
• Conductor License details
• Badge details

After entering the information, click Save. An Application Number will be generated.

Step 6: Upload Required Documents

Go to the Upload section and enter your Application Number and Date of Birth. Upload your recent passport-size photograph and signature in JPG/JPEG format.

Step 7: Confirm the Application

Navigate to Online Application > Confirm and carefully review all the information entered in the application form. Once verified, click Confirm Application to generate a permanent Confirmation Number. No changes can be made after confirmation.

Step 8: Pay the Application Fee

Open the Print Application Form / Pay Fees section and enter your Confirmation Number. Complete the payment using UPI, Net Banking, Debit Card, Credit Card, or generate a Post Office challan if applicable.

Step 9: Print the Final Application Form

After successful submission and fee payment, download and print the final application form along with the payment receipt. Keep these documents safe for future reference and document verification.
