RRB ALP Recruitment 2025 Age Limit:
- Candidates can apply online for (RRB ALP Recruitment 2025) RRB Recruitment 2019 between the age group of 18 to 30 years. as on (01-07-2025)
- Reserve category will be given relaxation in maximum age limit as per the rules.
Nationality For RRB ALP:
- (a) A candidate must be either:
- (i) a citizen of India, or
- (ii) a citizen of Nepal, or
- (iii) a subject of Bhutan, or
- (iv) a Tibetan refugee who came over to India, before 01.01.1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India,
- (v) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African Countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.
- (vi) Provided that a candidate belonging to categories (ii), (iii), (iv) and (v) above, shall be a person in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India.
- (b) A candidate in whose case a certificate of eligibility is necessary, may be admitted to the examination provisionally. However, the Certificate of Eligibility issued by the Government of India has to be submitted during Document Verification failing which his/her candidature shall be rejected.
RRB ALP Examination Fee:
The Candidates Only ONLINE fee payment through internet banking, debit/credit cards, or UPI will be accepted. All applicable service charges shall be borne by the candidate. Fee can be paid by the candidates through ONLINE mode only. There will be no option to pay fee through any other mode.

Selection Process
RRB ALP Recruitment 2025 candidates have to go through two stages in which many points are given below, after reading them carefully
- First Stage CBT I
- Second Stage CBT II
- Computer-Based Aptitude Test (CBAT)
- Document Verification (DV)
- Medical Examination (ME)
RRB ALP Exam Pattern
RRB ALP Recruitment 2025 selection process will be based on 4 rounds of exams, which are CBT 1, CBT 2, CBAT and Document Verification. The exam patterns CBT 1, CBT 2 and CBAT are discussed given below.
First Stage CBT 1 Exam Pattern:
- CBT-1 will only be a screening exam for shortlisting eligible candidates for CBT-2 based on their normalized marks and merit. Screening will be based on their merit in CBT-1 among the candidates who have chosen the same RRB only.
- The marks of CBT-1 shall not be counted while preparing the final panel.
- Duration: 60 minutes
- Number of questions: 75, Maximum marks: 75 (@1 mark per question)
- There shall be negative marking @1/3rd marks for each wrong answer.
- Normalization of marks will be done for CBTs held in multiple shifts.
Second Stage CBT 2 Exam Pattern:
Shortlisting of candidates for CBT-2 shall be done RRB-wise and community-wise as per their normalized marks and merit in CBT-1 among the candidates who have chosen the same RRB only
- CBT-2 shall comprise of two parts viz., Part-A and Part-B as detailed below.
- Total Duration: 2 hours and 30 minutes & Total Questions: 175
- Part-A: 90 minutes & 100 questions
- Part-B: 60 minutes & 75 questions
- There shall be negative marking @1/3rd marks for each wrong answer.
- Normalization of marks will be done for CBTs held in multiple shifts
Computer Based Aptitude Test (CBAT):
Candidates equal to 8 (eight) times the number of ALP vacancies for each notified community / category viz., UR(includes OBC-CL), OBC(NCL), SC, ST and EWS (including ExSM), shall be shortlisted for CBAT on the basis of their marks in Part-A of CBT-2 among the candidates who have chosen the same RRB only with the application of reservation rules, provided they qualify in Part-B of CBT-2. In case more than one candidate obtain marks equal to cut-off point, they all will be shortlisted for CBAT.
Minimum Passing Marks In RRB ALP Exam 2025
The minimum pass percentage for the CBT 1 Exam is as follows:
- UR & EWS-40%
- OBC (NCL)-30%
- SC-30%
- ST- 25%.
